Gavin to play in Charity Tennis event

The 4th annual K-Swiss Desert Smash Charity Tennis & Golf event takes place tomorrow and Wednesday at the La Quinta
The event benefits Variety Club of the Desert – The Children’s Charity, a 501c3 organization that looks to impact the Coachella Valley’s neediest children, according to a news release.
Tennis stars Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic will be featured in the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tennis exhibition tomorrow. Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, “Borat” star Ken Davitian, David Spade and other celebrities are expected to attend.
A celebrity golf pro-am will take place Wednesday at the PGA West Nicklaus course. Information: 777-5823.
